In Bali, every single day is unique. It is a mysterious land full of unexpected adventures. To live fully here you have to learn to flow with the magic. To say 'yes' and be open to having a totally different experience to the one you planned!
Even basic getting around required an advanced level of intuition. People give directions confidently even when they have never heard of your destination. Google Maps seems to move places around from time to time and as for Apple Maps on the iPhone - don't even go there !
Amongst all of the envigorating chaos two thing remain constant.
Every day it rains.
Every day the sun shines.
I've been here for 3 weeks.
Every day. Without fail!
Occasionally both at the same time.
There is always enough sun each day to dry clothes, ripen delicious papayas and recharge my DNA with sungazing.
When it rains, it rains hard!
You get wet.
Things slow down a bit.
... and basically living carries on.
Life is the same.
Every day there is light and brilliance to celebrate.
And every day brings its own unique challenges.
Yesterday five others joined me for Dynamic Meditation. The energy was powerful! It charged me up for the day.
Later I watched a pig slaughter in the a nearby village. That was tough. My heart full of compassion for the struggling beast AND the laughing men who took its life. I stayed and watched and cried as its life bled out into the street...
Ah the passing victories and challenges of life!
What is there to do but feel it all and continue.
Bali is opening my heart a little further each day. A part of me is terrified of the uncertainty.
And life continues...
How was your day?
Sun, Rain or Both at the same time?
